Tolpuddle

Es i gyda Sinead a tri oedolyn arall (Rose, Arthur a Karl) i lawr i wyl Tolpuddle. Dathliad o'r pobl wnaeth geisio sefydlu undeb llafur yn 1834 (cewch mwy o'r hanes ar http://www.tolpuddlemartyrs.org.uk/story_frms.html)

Roedd y diwrnod yn grasboeth, roedd miloedd o bobl yno, wnaeth Arthur yfed gormod fel arfer (ond pa berson 79 oed sy'n cymaint o hwyl pan mae'n henner meddw), wnaeth y daith gymryd dros 3 awr pob ffordd (wnes i yrru yr holl ffordd yno ac yn ol) ond eto roeddwn yn falch fy mod i wedi mynd. Mae'n bwysig cofio hanes a dysgu y cenhedlaeth nesaf yr hanes. Dyma llun o Sinead yn cario baner Cyngor Undebau Llafur Torfaen.

I went with Sinead, and 3 other adults (rose, Arthur and Karl) down to the Tolpuddle festival. A celebration of the poeple who tried to set up a trade union in 1834 (more details at http://www.tolpuddlemartyrs.org.uk/story_frms.html) The day was very hot, there were thousands there, Arthur drank too much as usual (but what other 79 year old is such a laugh when he is half drunk), the journey took over 3 hours each way (I drove the whole way there and back) but despite this I was glad that I had gone. It is important to remember history and teach it to the next generation. Here is a picture of Sinead carrying the Torfaen Trades Union Council banner.
